🌿Welcome — I’m Katherine
I’m a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years of clinical experience. I work with adults throughout California via telehealth.
My decision to become a therapist came when I was struggling as a teenager and wanted things to be better. I made a promise to myself that if I could get better, I would help other girls and young women too. After that I learned that although girls have their particular struggles, everyone struggles in one way or another. As a college student, I found that people liked to talk to me and found me to be a good listener. They often said that they felt better after talking to me. A part of me knew that I was destined to become a therapist.
I specialize in working with people whose lives don’t fit neatly into one box — LGBTQ individuals, people of color, those living with chronic illness or neurodivergence, and people navigating career transitions, relationship challenges, and questions of meaning, faith, and identity. If you’ve ever felt like the world wasn’t quite designed for you, you’ve come to the right place.
My approach is rooted in empathy, creativity, and deep respect for who you are. I trained in Person-Centered Expressive Arts Therapy For Social Change over two years alongside therapists from around the world — different languages, cultures, and backgrounds — studying directly under Dr. Natalie Rogers, daughter of Dr. Carl Roger’s. That experience shaped how I hold space: with genuine curiosity about your whole self, not just your symptoms.
I believe therapy works best when it begins to feel like insight, self acceptance, and real change — not just talking about problems. Whether you’re untangling a relationship, finding your footing in a career shift, managing a chronic condition, or simply ready to live more fully, I’d love to work with you.
